The Junior League has kicked off their week long poverty awareness campaign, the Black Out Poverty Initiative, formerly known as the Little Black Dress Initiative.

Members wear black in solidarity to educate and raise awareness about the issue of poverty in our community. Funds raised will go to Interserv, an organization that provides services to the homeless and people impacted by poverty. Please help us reach our goal of $3000 using the link or QR code below.

This pandemic has been devastating for impoverished communities. Buchanan County experienced about a 16% poverty rate in 2019, and we expect a higher rate once 2020 data is available. Your donation will go a long way in helping organizations like Interserv help those in need.
